This year’s Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) race meeting at Thruxton (19/20 September 2020) was run behind closed doors, without spectators.
As the BTCC is the UK’s premier car racing championship, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) has classified it as an elite sport and as such had to follow the government's elite sport pathway, which currently doesn’t allow spectators to attend events.
We were disappointed that fans were not able to enjoy seeing the BTCC this year and are sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We can, however, confirm that the BTCC will be back at Thruxton in 2021 for two race meetings - 8/9 May and 28/29 August.
Ticket Holders have two options
Option 1
We would like to offer you the opportunity to exchange your tickets for one of the 2021 BTCC events at Thruxton. This means you will benefit from tickets at the 2020 prices. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee or allocate grandstand seats at this time.
8/9 May 2021
To exchange your tickets for the 8/9 May BTCC race meeting (rounds 7, 8, 9) please send your name, address, and postcode to TransferBTCCMay2021@barc.net
28/29 August 2021
To exchange your tickets for the 28/29 August BTCC race meeting (rounds 22, 23, 24) please send your name, address, and postcode to TransferBTCCAugust2021@barc.net
Please note: Once tickets are exchanged for an event, they cannot be transferred to a different event.
Option 2
If you would like a full refund, please send your name, address, and postcode to RefundBTCC@barc.net and your refund will be processed within 7 working days.
If we do not hear from you before 30 September 2020, we will automatically process a refund.
Camping pre-sales
All camping pre-sales will be automatically refunded. Details on camping at Thruxton in 2021 will be available closer to the event.
We appreciate the disappointment that this will cause to our supporters, but we are grateful for your understanding at this difficult time and look forward to welcoming you back to Thruxton again very soon.
